We take 5 with the lovely Tash from Littlespoon Loungewear

Are you a Maker, Creator, Mover or Shaker?

I would say creator, mover and shaker!

How did your Business start?

It was an idea I had for about 6 months before I decided to do anything about it. I think I was getting my nails done and thought how much more comfortable it would have been if I could just rock up in my sleepwear and relax in the chair like I never left my bed! I played around with the idea a bit more and decided a range of clothing that were comfy enough to sleep in but nice enough to go out in was what we needed, and it just went from there.

What is the best part about running a Small Business?

I love the direct contact I get with all my customers, suppliers, and fellow businesses. It’s a lot more personal and you get great feedback on your products. It’s also great to have work that you can structure around your own lifestyle so that you can properly manage the work play balance.

What is the biggest challenge you face with running a Small Business?

Getting yourself known. Starting anything is difficult and trying to get yourself established in your niche can be challenging.

Who or what inspires you?

I have travelled a lot, and I think my travels have inspired me for a large part of the concept/design process. I think about what I would have liked to have worn in the various places I’ve been. All my girlfriends who have their own businesses also inspire me, seeing them go for their dreams, even when the going gets tough.

Favourite WA holiday destination?

Rottnest for sure. But I do love heading down south and have a soft spot for Kalbarri.

Tea or Coffee?

Both! Coffees in the morning teas at night.

Morning or Night person?

Both! I’m one of those annoying happy people when I wake up and that annoying person at night that doesn’t want to go to bed yet. I do however LOVE my afternoon naps.

Who’s your favourite Girl Boss?

My sister Nikki from NOOD is an amazing woman to look up to. She’s so cool, calm and collected, even in the midst of chaos. My girlfriend Dakota from Skye and Staghorn is also pretty impressive…she manages to juggle so much and never looks like theres a hair out of place.

Where to next for your Business?

Keep creating styles that I think will work well with West Australian women and hopefully expand enough so that it goes beyond online, and stocks permanently in some brick-and-mortar stores so there is the option to try on and feel before buying.
